Street Art by Damian Tab | Murals in Tel Aviv

Damian Tab painted murals and street art in cities across Israel and beyond.

Working directly on walls, doors, and whatever surface the city offered, his works mixed playful characters, surreal scenes, and moments of quiet humor.

Using spray paint, acrylic, and stencil techniques, Damian turned ordinary corners into small urban stories — the kind people suddenly notice while walking down the street.

Each piece responded to its location, becoming part of the city itself for a moment.

A door looking for a new home

It started as just a painted door on a street in Tel Aviv.

Over time, it became something people recognized, photographed, and the quiet star of many street art tours.

People often stopped, wondering about the character and what story it might be telling.

Until the day the building began to change — and the door suddenly needed a new home.

When Street Art Goes to Court

A legal case involving the street artists Damian Tab and MAS972 became a landmark moment for artists’ rights in Israel.

For the first time, the court recognized that even works painted on public walls are protected by copyright.

The ruling made one thing clear:

people can enjoy street art in the city, but no one can take it, sell it, or profit from it without the artist’s permission.
